OUR GOVERNANCE

The general purpose governance of the JPII Catholic Schools shall be managed by its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors establishes the policy, visions, and goals for the Network in accordance with the mission of the JPII Catholic Schools and in compliance with diocesan policies.

As stated in the By-laws, the management of the Corporation shall be vested in a Board of Directors, and the number of Directors comprising this Board shall be: The Bishop of the Diocese of Fargo, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Fargo, the presiding Pastors of the Sponsoring Parishes as determined by the By-laws, be members of the said Board of Directors, the President of the St. John Paul II Catholic Schools, as well as a Chairman and five other directors appointed by the Bishop of the Diocese of Fargo.

The corporation is one part of the Catholic educational ministry of the Diocese of Fargo; the principal purpose for which this corporation is formed is to conduct, manage, maintain, and provide for Catholic institutions of elementary and secondary education in Cass County for the education and instruction of students under the direction of the Bishop of the Diocese of Fargo and the Catholic Parishes. The corporation shall take no actions contrary to the 1983 Code of Canon Law of the Roman Catholic Church (as the Code may be amended) or the teachings of the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church or policies of the Bishop of Fargo or its own By-laws.
