St. John Paul II Catholic Schools is pleased to announce the hiring of Mrs. Jill Koch as the new Principal at Nativity Elementary School. Mrs. Koch has eighteen years of experience at Nativity, teaching Kindergarten, Third Grade, and most recently, Physical Education. She has also coached elementary and middle school track.

Well-known and well-respected in the Nativity School and Parish community, Mrs. Koch brings a faith-filled, collaborative, energetic, and positive approach as a school leader.

Mrs. Koch emphasized that, “I am excited to have the opportunity to serve as the principal for Nativity Elementary School. The school has held a special place in our family’s heart since the day we walked through the doors eighteen years ago. I am honored to continue to work with an incredible team of teachers, school and parish staff, and families to help our students learn and grow in God’s love!”

Mrs. Koch and her husband, Travis, have four children, Sabrina (Shanley Class of 2016) and her husband, Sean; Sadey (’19); Sharlotte (’27); and Luke (’29).

“Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Jill Koch as Nativity’s principal,” said President Mike Hagstrom. “She will bring a positive and energetic leadership approach grounded in her passion for faith, experience as an educator, and dedication to the Nativity community.”

Deep gratitude to Vice President, Mrs. Mary Beth Traynor, who has been serving as the Nativity School’s on-site administrator these first months of the school year. She has done a tremendous job leading the school community in a very positive start to the school year. Mrs. Traynor will assist Mrs. Koch in the transition over the coming weeks as she prepares to begin her official principal duties on November 1 while we seek a teacher for her Physical Education position.

Please continue to pray for the Nativity Elementary School community in this time of transition.
